Is $700 worth five minutes of your time?
Thanks to the American Rescue Plan Act, SAWS customers can receive up to $700 in federal COVID-19 funds to help pay off their past-due SAWS bill.
No proof of income is required, and the application takes less than five minutes. To receive this assistance, you must:
- Be a SAWS residential customer.
- Live inside San Antonio city limits.
- Be affected by a financial hardship due to COVID-19.
- Have an unpaid balance on charges between April 1, 2020 and Sept. 30, 2021.
If you choose to provide proof of income, you could qualify for even more than $700 through other need-based assistance programs.
