Here is some important information regarding your new account. Please read it carefully.

A deposit may be required for new water and sewer service customers. Learn more about our deposit requirements.

A $10 Meter Trip Fee will also be assessed to allow us take your first meter reading and turn on your water service.

SAWS sewer service is billed based on your average winter water use. Since your new account doesn’t have a winter average yet, you will be billed for sewer service using a utility-wide winter average of 5,985 gallons per month. Once you have been at this address for an entire winter averaging period (mid-November through mid-March), we will begin billing you based on your own actual winter average water use. If your service address is located inside San Antonio city limits, you may also be billed a Stormwater Fee on behalf of the city. Learn more about stormwater fees and billing.

Please be sure all water fixtures and valves are in the “off” position, especially valve(s) behind toilet(s), to avoid any water waste or damage to your home.
